I hope they are more of "generalizations" than stereotypes, but you are right, they are not all universally true!

Of course these are only generalizations, I'm sure there are exceptions to each of these. I'm happy that you and your roommate have a good and healthy relationship!

Students put down colleagues. i thank this view is not true, take my roommate for example, we are always respect, mutual understanding, share happiness and sorrows with each other.
Lecture is only mode of instruction. we just regard it as most imporant mode to give instruction. we can also give some task from our teacher which will make us gain some imformation, but not so often.
Memorization is most important means of learning. as time goes by, university are more empasized "quility education", this situation is changing. especially, our writing class teacher always encourage us thinking your own idea, not recite many forms and structure. of coures, except colleage education, most of us instilled this idea
Relies on textbook only. as the develepment of tecnique, we are prone to relay more on internet

Summer, thanks for your comments. I know that it can be difficult to understand 100% of what I say in class, especially when we are talking about difficult topics such as economics, politics or foreign relations! Keep working hard, prepare well for class and then pay close attention in class and you'll find that every class you'll understand more and more!

We are still taking precautions on the HIST campus to prevent the spread of (any kind of) flu and at the same time monitoring the health of the student body in order to make prudent decisions about classes. However, it seems that there is no reason for alarm, things are stable and everyone is currently doing just fine.
